Often on the back of having a cost reduction target to achieve, or developing a People Strategy, businesses need to re-think the way their HR function is organised. This was the case with two of our clients.
We helped them, through an involving process, to reassess what needs they had to serve internally, and what goals they needed to achieve. We developed a new way of working, sometimes a radical change to their existing practice, which formed centres of expertise, business partners and service centres. We focussed heavily on developing a realistic implementation plan, thinking hard about the transition and helping them to manage the impact on both the HR team and their internal customers and business leaders.
The effect was an enhancement to the credibility of the function, a clear plan of service delivery and clarity of interface for their customers.
