embedding values to enhance performance

Our client sought to develop and secure their business performance during times when costs were being cut heavily and business targets were challenging. Their desire was to bring to life one of their key values – accountability, and thereby align their people and enhance the way they worked together.

We worked with the client to develop a company-specific ‘model of accountability’, using inputs from a representative group of employees. We designed a series of workshops to be delivered at their annual International Leadership Conference event. In the workshops the leadership teams used this model to explore what accountability is, to assess their performance to date, and to propose new actions or behavioural changes they could make to deliver improved performance in the year ahead.

Feedback from the event was so positive, that we worked with our client the following year to explore another of their values – teamwork. Further evidence of success was the cascade of materials throughout the business.
